Planted across 27 hectares, this unique garden has grown from the idea of creating an oak (genus Quercus) collection. Born in 2003, the Arboretum was awarded the label of National Collection for the genus Quercus in 2012, and the label Jardin Remarquable in 2021.
Visiting
The Arboretum welcomes visitors from May to October for guided tours in English, French or Spanish (€10 per person; reduced rate for groups of more than 20). The Arboretum des Pouyouleix is a private initiative financed by its creators, revenue generated by guided tours, and through donations made to the non-profit organization, the Association de l’Arboretum des Pouyouleix.
